OUR HISTORY & COMPLETED PROJECT
S&P Group was established in 1991 to support local and international companies’ business development and opening their branches in Kazakhstan. We were involved the following international projects implementation to support local & international companies:
1993 – 1999. The Tengiz and Korolev fields have potential for an estimated 750 million to 1.1 billion metric tonnes (6 billion to 9 billion barrels) of recoverable oil. Estimated original oil in place in the drilled and un–drilled portions of Tengiz field is about 3 billion metric tonnes (26 billion barrels). At a world class size of 190 million metric tonnes (1.5 billion barrels), Korolev is one–sixth the size of Tengiz.
2014 – 2020. The Future Growth Project and Wellhead Pressure Management Project (FGP-WPMP) are being constructed simultaneously to realize significant efficiencies and cost savings. FGP, based on TCO’s highly-successful Sour Gas Injection-Second Generation Project (SGI-SGP) expansion project, will expand production by approximately 12 million tonnes per year (260,000 barrels per day).
WPMP will keep the existing Tengiz plants full by lowering the flowing well head pressures and boosting the pressure to the six existing processing trains.
The main FGP-WPMP equipment will be fabricated in Kazakhstan, South Korea and Italy and pre-assembled into modules for transportation to Tengiz and final assembly.
2000 – 2014. KASHAGAN. The Kashagan field is located in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea and extends over a surface area of approximately 75 kilometers by 45 kilometers. The reservoir lies some 4,200 meters below the shallow waters of the northern part of the Caspian Sea.
The combined safety, engineering, logistical and environmental challenges make it one of the largest and most complex industrial projects currently being developed anywhere in the world.
1991 – 1999. ATYRAU-REFINERY. Atyrau refinery –the first Kazakhstan refinery – is known for its remarkable traditions and achievements. The construction of the plant started in 1943 in difficult condition of the post –war period, and in September 1945 the plant was put into operation. Nowadays, Atyrau refinery is a major modern plant which is located in the oldest oil producing region of the country.
